even though i haven’t been spinning as much as i’d like to, i have been knitting quite a bit. i finished a sock (pictures to come), and i completely rocked out in my newly finished sock-head hat! check it oot!
55 grams of hand dyed alpaca and 110 grams of soon-to-be-hand-dyed merino/cashmere sadly, that is the last of the merino/cashmere roving. i shall miss it’s aggressive softness.
the bad news first, i had to rip apart my Alpaca Sweater of Awesomeness. although it IS a very manly thing to make things unnecessarily large, that rule doesn’t generally apply to sweaters. i learned the manly lesson of measure first, knit second. a sweater that’s 10 inches too large is … well … too [...]
