like a record, baby
starting tomorrow i will be, for the first time in weeks, not terribly busy. last week was filled with podcast research, recording, editing, a craft show, a knitting afternoon at Knit-O-Matic and lunch with my parents (on top of the day job and making christmas presents). tonight’s schedule involves a trip to the post office, grocery shopping, feeding the frog, knit-night at Panera Bread, finish spinning a yarn for the first time a week and a half and hopefully watching a cheesy movie (perhaps My Name is Bruce).
a big problem is that my web site is bare. it’s really lame to tell the truth. so my intention is for the next seven days to kick myself into “ultra-production” mode – i want to spin AT LEAST a yarn every day for the next week and get everything photographed and posted. my biggest challenge is the fact that it’s dark when i get home, so i have no natural light to photograph things – BUT, once i get my routine down over the next 2 days, i’m going to go home at lunch to take advantage of the daylight. let’s all keep our fingers crossed that there’s no rain. in theory, i’m even going to get my spinning batts photographed and posted too!
SO, being that i generally combine my spinning time with movie time, i need suggestions on movies. i prefer funny, gorey, or a combination of the two normally but also dig on other stuff. leave your suggestions in the comments.
Watch Black Sheep. Horror/comedy from New Zealand. My review here:

You might have to cut and paste that in address bar.
oh my god. i LOVE the tag line…
“there are 40 million sheep in New Zealand… and they’re PISSED OFF!”
I highly recommend the original zom-com (zombie romantic comedy), Shaun of the Dead! I thought it was quite hilarious.
and Lake Placid is totally cheesy, but Betty White makes it totally worth it. I get sucked in everytime it pops up on cable at 3am. Happy Spinning!
oh oh… Dead and Breakfast. Its a classic in B-horror-com. I also thought Planet Terror was pretty funny, and Santa Slay is just too wrong to not be funny.
The Man with the Screaming Brain
Dead Alive
Cabin Fever
Misery
28 Days Later
…not necessarily great films, but still entertaining.
Oh man even funnier than Shaun of the Dead… Fido. It is my all time favorite Zom-Con. Its Leave it to Beaver meets Night of the Living Dead.
Definitely My Name is Bruce is a must!
