ManSpun Contest ideas?

February 28th, 2009 | Tags: , , ,

in the event anyone wasn’t sure what would constitute manly uses for manspun yarn, i’ve put together a couple of samples for you…

guitar strings:

or perhaps you’re a chef, and you wanted to cook with it:

I’ve had a couple of patterns submitted, but i’m looking for photos.  if you’ve made a pattern that would be good for manspun yarn, knit up a sample and photograph yourself using whatever you’ve designed.

have fun, and remember – the clock is ticking.

oh yeah, and tomorrow i’ll be at Knit-O-Matic, knitting up a storm for the afternoon.  well, i won’t be knitting a storm – it’s a sock, but i’ll still be knitting it in the manliest possible way.

I thought the manliest thing to knit would be a peter-heater, or do you call it a willie-warmer? Not spaghetti!
But no, I don’t have a picture of one!

i’ve had a few people recommend the peter-heater/willie-warmer idea, but i’d prefer to keep the photos relatively close to PG rated so i can post them on the site.
