ManSpun Yarn

every day, pandas and sheep fight a seemingly endless fight.  although sheep have the pandas outnumbered by a ratio of at least a million to one, the pandas have stealth on their side.  what’s left in the wake are piles of sheep hair and panda food, waiting for people like me to assemble them into manly yarn – symbols of the constant struggle between the cute but fierce pandas and the demonic sheeps of doom.

and now…. the Manspun Contest!

even though i haven’t actually finished spinning the grand prize, it will be one skein of manspun yarn – it will be one-of-a-kind, dyed and spun specifically to be the prize for this contest.  it will weigh in around 100 grams and likely measure somewhere between 150 and 250 yards.

what do you need to do in order to win?

you need to send me a photo – what you think the manliest use for manspun yarns is.  please avoid photoshopping entries – the more real the picture, the more likely it is that you’ll win the prize.  all entries will be posted here on the site so that everyone can have a good look.  i will choose the winner and notify the world here on the manliest holiday of all – March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day.  the day where we all pretend we have irish heritage and drink guiness to celebrate.

so email me your photos, and make sure you have “manliest contest ever!” in the subject of your email so that i don’t miss out on it.
