spinning as fast as i can
spin, knit, spin, knit. manly tasks are demanding.
my plans to keep up spinning a yarn every day during International Manly Yarn Month have not gone well thus far, although maybe i might be able to bring up the daily average on the weekend. i’ve only spun two so far and have only one left.
currently on the bobbin (note that bobbin is named with manliness, after Bob, the creator of Ravelry) is a batch of Merino/Viscose that is so soft it will make you think twice aboot knitting that next project out of barbed wire (although barbed wire does have a woman’s name – barb – it is still quite manly). after that will be more Merino/Bamboo then some Merino and mixed fibres to suit the needs of every type of man out there.
i’ve also been doing some proper work on my cashmere toque. since the completion of my Silk, Bamboo and Brown Like a Poo toque i’ve learned some fancy techniques in knitting (i.e. doing things the RIGHT WAY). i’m targeting completion MONDAY! and not easter like i had originally predicted. it’s funny how things work when you do them the manly (right) way instead of the wrong way.
You know, if you say “Barb” with the right accent, i.e. American Deep South, it comes out as “Bob”, which, as you already know, qualifies as manly.
I thought bobbin was named after my manly cat, Bob.
